This Saturday, I was really craving a donut. I had seen this cute, little place called The Dancing Donut before and I thought I’d give it a try. When I walked in, it was absolutely adorable. The décor is pastel and rustic, very shabby chic! It wasn’t too crowded either. There were so many options to choose from. What caught my eye though, was their extremely creative sign outside. There is a donut with arms and legs acting like it’s dancing. (Kind of hard to miss if you ask me!) After looking over all of the options I decided to go with the classic icing and sprinkle, I mean you can’t really go wrong with sprinkles. Over all, my experience was pretty good. You can’t really have a bad donut, right? If you want to see more of them check them out here. I hope after reading this I made you hungry for some yummy donuts!
If you’ve read my earlier posts, you know that I’m a competitive figure skater. There are a few different things that to go into being a figure skater, and passing tests is one of them. In order to pass move on to the next level, you have to pass a test. A skating test is basically like a test you would take in school, but obviously a little more physical! Now, when you are preparing for a test you study for just that test. That’s exactly what I did, but times four. When you test you are evaluated by multiple trained judges. They grade you on how well you completed each of the elements. You take the test all by yourself on the ice, then have to wait until all of the forms are official. Then you’ll know if you passed or not. This was very stressful, but definitely paid off in the end. The picture above is me with all of my papers that validated that I actually passed!
